shadow is our home

tis bizarre our collective fear of shadow. tis bizarre that we cling to light and try to ward off shadow and dark. for shadow is our home. shadow is of what we are made. we are not beings of light or beings of dark, we are creatures of shadow. and not that we simply live in shadow, but also shadow is our substance, shadow is our fuel. when we try to make ourselves creatures of light, or form with no shadow, we cut out our hearts, we cut out our souls. we become stick figures sucking on lifesupport masquerading as substance. our substance is not solidity, our form is not stone. no we are amorphous, fog nestling our creations, that have no more substance than we do. instead of pining for solidity, lets embrace our ethereality. indeed ether is our reality and shadow is our home.

yes. it is division feeding itself. that which tries to 'make ourselves' into something other than what we are - or anything - is that which believes itself to be separate from that and the creative will that breathes it - … so all it can do is reinforce that sense and the falsehood of its belief.
(after all of this time i am still not exactly sure what you mean by shadow and sense we use the term differently. but the following is what i would say about shadow). the denial of shadow is shadow. on its own, when seen and embraced for what it is, shadow is another appearance that can fuel creativity, or invite inquiry. shadow is the light of the one casting its reflection in the dance of space and time. when shadow is seen for what it is, is it still shadow or is it still here? if shadow is our 'home', it is our home because it is here - and wherever we are is home. and it is our home along with light. - i actually see our home as what shadow and light arise within.
i was talking about where we get our juice as humans.
i was seeing we as humans are perpetually in the middle of the numerous complimentaries. that in a sense, we host these complimentaries, yet we are not them.
shadow is that that is between light and dark. as such, we are of shadow. since we are of shadow our sustenance is found around the edges, in the crooks and crannies, in that that cannot be directly looked at or clearly seen. since we are of shadow, our substance is insubstantial, fleeting. as such, to really know our humanity is to embrace this netherland and dance with the primordial inhabitants of this soup.
